On December 31, 1972, American businessman Howard Baron was shot and killed in Tsim Sha Tsui's Star House. The police investigated for years, yet failed to reach a conclusive result. At one point, rumors circulated suggesting that Baron was a U.S. agent, while others speculated he had ties to then-President Ferdinand Marcos of the Philippines and was silenced for offending powerful individuals. For 53 years, this case has been ICE-COLD.
However, Chief Inspector Norman Mackillop recently disclosed on the English channel of โDangerous Person 2.0โ that all these rumors are incorrect. He also revealed that after the investigation, the police reached a surprising conclusion that has never been made public.
Furthermore, after reading a court judgement from 1993 produced by Madam Yung, MacKillop concludes this cold case could be looked at anew.
